Shopping Dates: Thursday, Dec 5 and Friday, Dec 6, 2024

Your student's shopping day will be communicated through their teacher.
Flyers will be sent home with the students the week of the event. 
Please note that only cash or checks (made payable to Guardian Angel Academy) will be accepted. Please fill out the gifting list with your child (on the back of the first page) and send it back to school with them on the day they shop.  It will make it easier for the Shoppe helpers to assist your child with shopping. 

We will be gift wrapping for $2.  If you want us to wrap your child's gifts, please fill out the gift tags in advance, cut them apart and place them in an envelope.  IF YOU ARE NOT HAVING YOUR GIFTS WRAPPED, YOU DO NOT NEED TO FILL OUT THE GIFT TAGS.

It's fall y'all and Thanksgiving is right around the corner! To get us into the Thanksgiving spirit, the GAA PTG is hosting a Friendsgiving Potluck celebration. Bring a side dish, appetizer, or dessert and we'll provide the main dish! We don't want this potluck to only have the typical cookie cutter Thanksgiving foods, so please feel free to bring us with that special dish that may be unique to your family's dinner table. Please let us know what you are bringing when you sign up so we know what to look forward to!

We also will be providing some board games, crafts and other small activities throughout the evening.

Apples provided by My Favorite Sweet Shoppe our area’s local chocolate and candy store serving up a dose of nostalgia with every purchase.

We are excited that the PTG Read-a-thon fundraiser is here! Once again, we will be using the 99Pledges website. You will receive an email (from Teresa Fuchs at [email protected]) with a link to your child’s online pledge page. You do not need to log in or change anything. All you have to do is make a donation for whatever amount you can and share your participant's link with friends and family. We are shooting for 100% participation, so no amount is too small.  Families that have at least $100 in sponsorship will receive entry into a raffle—the winning family will have the balance of the family's $750 fundraising goal paid off!  AND 10% of donations will be credited to the family yearly fundraising goal.

This year there are exciting prizes for the students, teachers, and parents.  So please read the attached flyers and share the donation link.  The last day for donations is Friday, November 22. Prize winners will be announced Monday, November 25.  

GOALS:

• Challenging students to read over 2,000 hours – We can reach our goal by each student reading only 25 minutes per day!

STUDENT PRIZES:

• Each student participant with at least one donation will receive a dress down day pass.
• The classroom with the most dollars raised will win a classroom prize of a pizza party, an extra 30 minutes of recess, and the Read-A-Thon Trophy.
• Each student, with a donation, that turns in a completed BINGO card will be entered into the drawing for a reading gift basket prize. The BINGO card is available to print from the email you received or pick up a hard copy at the school office.

FAMILY PRIZE:

• Each family that has at least $100 in donations will receive entry into a raffle to have your family's fundraising quota balance paid off, equal to an amount up to $750!
• 10% of donations will be credited to the family fundraising goal.

TEACHER PRIZE:

• Each class that has 100% participation (all students have a least one donation) will enter their teacher into a raffle for an awesome teacher prize.
• Last year the Read-A-Thon raised over $9,000 for the PTG. Every dollar raised helps the PTG. support classroom resources and student activities. We hope to surpass last year's goal with your help.

Wear your funniest, scariest, or most creative costumes for a contest. Get your picture taken at the photo booth! NO WEAPON LIKE OBJECTS WILL BE PERMITTED AT THE PARTY!

Family Masquerade - 6:30-8:30 PM

Preschool - 5th Grade (ALL children MUST be accompanied by an adult)
Snacks, drinks and pizza will be provided.
This is a family event, Middle School students are welcome to come early with their younger siblings; HOWEVER for the safety of our younger children we encourage the older kids to come enjoy the Middle School Dance!

The GAA PTG invites everyone to this year's Trunk-or-Treat event! Show up in costume and visit the decorated trunks for treats.
Make sure to bring money for the Smashed N’ Fried and donutNV food trucks!
Don’t forget to visit the PTG table to buy GAA merchandise. Special treat per child.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please RSVP through the link below how many will be attending so we can estimate how many treats will be needed. 

TRUNKERS NEEDED!!

Decorate your vehicle and pass out treats! Have fun with your decorations but keep it child-friendly. Space is limited to 50 spots. Only cars that sign up may pass out candy but everyone is invited to attend. Please only hand out store-bought treats.
